Apple has become world renowned for their invention of the iPhone, now in its tenth year of manufacturing. With the tenth year coming around the corner, iPhone squeezed out another two phones in the span of a year—the 7 and the 8. We all give iPhone the benefit of the doubt that their products are going to be good quality, fast speed, good camera, and larger storage capabilities. We may think okay well 8 is newer than the 7 so why not just buy that one? But even when buying phones, as participants in media and technology, we must be literate in what these new technologies have to offer for us, and if it is worth the price tag it holds. Many iPhone fans and followers took to the internet with their expression of memes to poke fun at apples barely noticeable and minor changes from the 7 to the 8.
