(B)adaptations
YouTube Video Proposal and Optional Filming
Introduced 9/28; Proposals Due 11/26
Filmed Versions Due 12/5
Please collaborate with a partner to propose a “(B)adaptations” video for the YouTube channel we discussed in class.
You will draft a conversation script as if you were filming it. Discuss relevant details about the film, its source material, and its translation to the screen. Include critiques and discussions of cinematic worth. Your script should be 500–1,000 words in length. You may post to the course blog or email the document to the professor. Make sure both names are included in the document heading.
It is not a requirement that you film the script you draft. However, I strongly encourage those with interest in developing video skills to make at least a rough cut narrating your conversation. We will view these in class on the last day should we have examples.
