Amy Reflection

First I want to sum up the whole documentary to some highlight quotes

-Don't be harsh to people, no matter who they are

-Stay away from assholes

-Make sure to give yourself enough time and space

-------------------------------------Piercingly Sad--------------------------------------------

I have watched a documentary before on BBC called the "seven years of life" and I found that the interesting point is a person's character can be decided during his or her childhood, in other word, it seldom can be changed by acquired disposition. For example, the model of dealing with problems when young is still going on our later lifetime.

Compared to the external factors, Amy's character may be the reason for her late indulgence. Amy grew up in the absence of fatherly love, coupled with the mother's incompetence, made her vulnerable, no assertive, at the same time, wild and rebellious also began to implant her body. Freud has such a theory, roughly that girls like boys more or less have the shadow of the girl's own father. Yes, unfortunately, she met another life in addition to his father's robbery - Black.

Black is purely an opportunist. When Amy was foolish , when she was playing her feelings and abandoned her, when he was like a gracious dog ran back to Amy to marry him. Every time, when Amy tried to make a change, Black dragged Amy like the swamp, making her deeper and deeper. In a profitable case, he prevented Amy from getting better for his own purposes. The only thing that keeps this feeling is Amy's money and her selfless but cheap love for Black.

And then Amy's father, Amy loves these two men so that they cannot see the faces of their hypocritical masks. As in her song: Love is blind.

Amy herself knew that she was just a money-maker for the media, the pressure of the media, the eyes of the public, the crazy paparazzi, so that Amy could not breathe, everything would push her into the cliff, she needed to flee. Amy can only be a person to bear everything only with alcohol and drugs, maybe Amy think this the easiest way to choose to escape.

Every scene is regrettable. Amy said: "The great man is destined to fail." I appreciate her crazy, her genius, but I know I cannot criticize her wrong decisions, because that's her.
